What are the common mistakes to avoid when applying Block Jointing Mortar

  3. Not allowing sufficient dying time : After applying new mortar , let it dry for at least 24 hours before proceeding with any sealant or paint . Rushing this step can compromise the quality of the joint.
  4. Neglecting Environmental Factors : Consider temperature and weather conditions during construction. Extreme temperatures or excessive moisture can affect the curing process and overall durability of the joint.

EXTERIOR WALL PRIMER

HAUTEUR Exterior primer is formulated with special additives that help it resist moisture and prevent it from penetrating the surface of the substrate. It also provides a strong bond to the surface, which helps to ensure that the final coat of paint or other finishing material adheres well and lasts longer.

Priming ensures better adhesion of paint to the surface, increases paint durability, and provides additional protection for the material being painted. Primer is a paint product that allows finishing paint to adhere much better than if it were used alone. It is designed to adhere to surfaces and to form a binding layer that is better prepared to receive the paint. Compared to paint, a primer is not intended to be used as the outermost durable finish .

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS :

  • CLEANING: Ensure that the surface to be painted is free from any loose paint, dust or grees.
  • FILLING : Smoothen surface by filling dents with thin coats of hauteur wall putyy. Allow it to dry for 4-6 hrs. sand with sand paper 180. wipe clean
  • PRIMER: Freshly plastered surfaces must be allowed to cure completely. On such surfaces apply one coat of hauteur exterior wall primer by thinning with water in the ratio of 1:1. Allow the primer to dry for 4 hrs
  • TOP COAT: Apply 2-3 coats by diluting primer with water as required. A gap of 4-6 hrs should be given between two coats. Ensure that horizontal surfaces like top of windows, ledges and other horizontal surfaces are painted with an additional coat for greater protection.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • CLEANING: Prepare the surface by sanding with sand paper 180. wipe clean.
  • PRIMER : Hauteur interior wall primer -water thinnable is to be thinned with water in the ratio 1:1 by volume to obtain brushing consistency. Apply a single coat and allow to dry for 3-4hrs
  • PUTTY : Smoothen surface by filling dents with thin coats of hauteur wall putty. Allow it to dry for 4-6 hrs. sand with sand paper 180. wipe clean
  • PRIMER: Apply a coat of primer to avoid a patchy appearance. Allow it to dry for 3-4 hrs. Sand with sand paper 320 before application of top coat

WALL TEXTURE

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

Scrape off or sand down chips, flakes and bumps. If working with older walls use a paint scraper/ coarse sand paper 40-60 grit to remove loose chips and flaking paint.

Make sure wall should be dry before application of texture.

Don’t apply on leakage and cracked walls directly. Solve crack and leakage before application of hauteur texture

Hauteur wall texture doesn’t require any amount of water. If required use clean water as minimum as required for application consistency.

Mix the material thoroughly by hand or use a low speed mechanical stirrer. Continue stirring mixture until desired paste consistency reached

Apply Hauteur wall texture uniformly on already moisturized surface with the help of putty blade or trowel

Allow the texture to dry for 15-25 minutes

Use a wet wooden/plastic trowel in the required design direction

After achieving the desired design allow it to dry for a minimum of 24 hours for complete drying depending on ambient temperature and humidity condition

HAUTEUR WALL CARE PUTTY

Hauteur Wall care putty is a white cement based product with re-permissible polymer and functional additives for application on interior and exterior rough plaster to give a smooth finish

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Scrap off or sand down chips, flakes and bumps. If working with older walls use a paint scraper/ coarse sand paper 40-60 grit to remove loose chips and flacking paint
  2. Use a dry brush over the entire wall to remove any remaining chips/flacks. Wipe and moisten the wall with a clean sponge and water.
  3. Add 40-45 % of water by volume to the hauteur wall care putty powder.
  4. Mix thoroughly using mechanical stirrer to make a homogeneous past. Set a low mixing speed. The putty should have a thick consistency, but not seem dry.
  5. Allow the mixture to stand for at least 10 min prior to application.
  6. Apply a first coat to the whole wall use small trovel ( 15-20 cm) to add a glob of putty to the large trovel (30 -36 cm) . Apply putty from the bottom to top of the wall in one motion.
  7. Allow the putty to dry for 16-24 hours. To check for dryness touch the putty with your fingers to feel for dampness.
  8. Apply the second coat either horizontally or vertically. Second coat shouldn’t more than roughly 1.5 inc thick.
  9. After 16-24 hours of second coat, go over the entire wall with fine sand paper 300-400 grit wipe off any remaining dust with damp cloth or sponge.
  10. After 2-3 days prime the whole wall, then add 2 coats of paint.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Clean the substrate of oil strains and bond inhibiting compounds. Also remove any loose particles dirt, dust.
  2. Ensure that the surface is well saturated before application in the case of cement based substrates.
  3. Mix as per mixing ratio of 3 – 4 liter per 20 kg bag
  4. After mixing allow the paste to stand for 3 -5 min for it to mature.
  5. Mix again to get the right consistency
  6. Apply the adhesive on surface
  7. Lay the granite/ stone on the adhesive
  8. Tap using plat plank with rubber mallet
  9. After 24 hours apply grout to finish the surface
